Trip to Grants Farm

We finally decided to get out and try Grant's Farm with Aunt Ashley & Uncle Ben. It was really hot outside but the cool breeze on the tram ride made up for it.

Making faces at all the "dawees".

Family Picture

Overall, it was lots of fun and we can't wait to take Bella back soon.

Bella's 1st Birthday!!!

Wow, I can't believe her first birthday has already come and gone. We've had quite the busy 12th month starting with Bella's birthday. May brought quite a few birthdays though. Bella's cousin Kris turned 3 and Sam turned 6 months.

Bella shares her birthday with Aunt Stephie and Great Grandpa R. We had Bella's party on May 22nd at our house. It was nice and toasty outside. We had lots of family and friends. Bella spent the night before with her Aunt Stephie to celebrate their shared birthdays.

Bella loved her new tricycle
Yummy, yummy cake!!

Celebrating my birthday with Great Grandpa R & Aunt Stephie!
Lots of pictures over the year!
Mommy, daddy, and the grandparents made some great food!!

Months 10 and 11

It was finally nice enough for Bella to take her first real trip to the park. She LOVED the swings and watching all the other kiddos playing.

Bella also started to finally explore the house more. I know it seems strange but before she really just stuck to exploring the living room unless we took her into another room.

She loves helping to load and unload the dishwasher.

She loves playing with daddy and showing off her crazy hair!
She loved figuring out how to climb on boxes. Needless to say, that box has since been removed and she hasn't found anything new to climb on yet.

We also took our first trip to the zoo as a family. Bella saw lots of "dawee".

Daddy took her on a carousel ride (second one ever) because mommy gets a little motion sick. Bella loved it but she couldn't quite figure out where mommy was.

How could I forget? Bella also started Little Gym and while she liked it half the time, the other half of the time she cried. Mawmaw & Pawpaw joined us for one clas and caught a few pictures for us.

Months 10 & 11 brought us lots of excitement but who knew how much her 12th month would bring!

9 months

Bella turned 9 months in February. She was introduced to shredded cheese and she's been addicted ever since.
We took a T family trip to Winter Park, CO for mommy's first time skiing. Since, it was my first time skiing, I seriously slacked in the picture taking department.

We headed out to Denver on a thursday so that we didn't have to make the flight & 2+hr drive with a 9 month old all in the same day. We stayed with C's grandparents. Bella did great on the plane and even had her own seat. We took her carseat with us and she slept for more than half the flight. On friday, we visited with Bella's GGB while waiting for Aunt Suz & Uncle Buck to arrive. Once they got there, we packed up and headed to the house we rented. Uncle Pukester arrived friday night and we all hung out and went out for some green chile at a mexican restaurant for dinner. We all headed to bed fairly early because saturday was gonna be a busy day of skiing. We headed out around 930am to get on the bus and take the LONG trek to drop Bella off at the daycare. Apparently, my boots were way too small b/c before we even started skiing I had ENORMOUS blisters on both feet. I decided to tough it out and off we headed to the first green slope. I got some small training tips from Curtis' dad because he's a great skiier. After about an hour I was off and flying (slowly) down the slopes. I was way out of shape for skiing but I had a blast. Curtis & I did alot of skiing ourselves and then headed in for some lunch. I think we finished up skiing around 2 or 3 and off Curtis & I headed for a drink. Soon, we got a call saying Bella was happy but refusing a bottle (we totally expected that). The rest of the family found us at the lodge as it soon started snowing pretty heavily. We went and got Bella so we could head back home. We weren't quite prepared for the long haul with all the skis, poles, & Bella because the poor kiddo got nasty windburn on her cheeks from the long trek.
Sunday brought more skiing but Bella stayed at the house with Aunt Ruby so we could all go skiing again. I wasn't too sore surprisingly sunday for skiing. We headed back to the slopes but not before I got better fitting boots. I felt like a pro and I think we headed down two blues that day and then about an 1 1/2 hr ski down a green to the bottom to finish up the day. By the end of sunday, I was struggling to keep going because my thighs were finally giving out.
Monday, I decided I was way too tired & sore to do any more skiing. Curtis headed off with the rest of his brothers and dad to do some more skiing. Bella, Grandma T, & I hung back at the house to do some relaxing, shopping, and walking around Winter Park.
Tuesday came quickly and we were all headed back to Denver to leave for our afternoon flights. Of course, we made sure to get in one more helping of green chile before we left CO. The trip was WAY better than I ever could have imagined and I can't wait to go skiing again.
Bella & I were back in STL for a few days before we took another road trip with Aunt Stephie, Kris, & Sam to see Mawmaw & Pawpaw KK. It was nice to spend a few days back home relaxing with my parents. We don't make it down to AR often enough. Bella learned how to pull up to standing on a rock fireplace while we were in CO. Once we got to AR she was very excited to show off her new talent.

Mawmaw did alot of cuddling with her 3 little ladies!
We also got some family pictures taken with Mawmaw & Pawpaw KK.
Bella also came down with her first illness during her 9th month. She took a trip to urgent care for croup. Luckily, she got a dose of oral meds & healed up quickly. Bella had a busy 9th month but it sure was fun!!

Catching up!!

Bella & I have been MIA for quite a while. Alot has happened since we've been gone and I plan on catching up here over the next few hours...

1/18/10-Day 10

Cuddle time with my puppy, Pearl:

1/17/10- Day 9

Working on self-feeding. Tried mashed banana again, but she really doesn't like it very much.

1/16/10- Day 8

Bella is really learning to move around the living room. She ususally plays on the blanket but on this day, she decided she wanted to travel to the other end of the living room & try watching tv.

1/15/10-Day 7

Boy, have I been slacking but I really can't tell you where the last 4 days have gone. We were lucky enough to get to spend the whole weekend together as a family, well most of it. I worked friday night but saturday morning we all went to breakfast & ran some errands. Then, I came home and slept from about 12-530. C went out that night with some guy friends for some poker, he deserved it. This is gonna be another throwback post.

This is a picture of Bella & I from the hospital. I think she was about 2 days old. Wow, how time flys & they really do grow up so fast.

1/14/10-Day 6

Today is throwback day. Bella & I were gone from the house all day today without our camera. We went grocery shopping & then came home to make dinner of Balsamic chicken & mushrooms. Before we knew it, Bella was fast asleep from a lack of naps today. Here's one of my favorite pics from my wedding day:

1/12/10- Day 4

Bella is beoming more & more mobile by the minute. Today, I had to rush over b/c she found a piece of plastic chewed up dog toy. My heart was pounding at a million miles a minute with how close she came to having that in her mouth. I love everyone's ideas of flashback photos, so I will definitely have some of those coming up in the near future. Here is our newest picture:

She fell asleep while burying her head in the blankets. I had to move her b/c I was definitely not comfortable leaving her like that.
Here's a smiley picture for the road b/c it just makes me so happy to see that slobbery smile.

1/11/10~Day 3

I love mealtime with Bella, she's learning so much each day. She is now able to use her pincer grasp to eat her little puffs. Here are a few of our pictures from dinnertime tonight:

So hungry, I was trying to eat the container before mommy could even open it.

Feeding myself like such a big girl.

My beautiful, blue-eyed independent little lady.

We hope that everyone had a great weekend & continues to have a great week. Stay Warm!!
